5G NSA & SA international performance testing 

Mobileum’s 5G Roaming Testing is a robust and scalable solution to continuously test, monitor, and benchmark 5G QoS for Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) deployments.

Our 5G roaming testing uses GlobalRoamer®, the world’s largest end-to-end active testing platform for roaming, covering more than 98% of the world and supporting 2G, 3G, LTE, CSFB, VoLTE, IoT, 5G, and Emergency Services. For 5G testing, it uses various frequency bands to generate an extensive set of standard and additional 5G service KPIs, such as 5G radio, band, bandwidth, network type, and restrict DCNR.

5G Roaming Testing with wireless modules

Our 5G wireless modules allow operators to proactively monitor 5G services and determine the 5G roaming performance.

Our probes communicate with the monitoring platform, providing relevant KPIs, generating daily reports and real-time alarms for all mobile services, and verifying if the 5G mobile operators meet the SLAs.

5G global roaming quality KPIs

GlobalRoamer® is a GSMA IR81 compliant solution that generates meaningful 5G Roaming KPIs that determine the real roaming quality and enable operators to drill down to traces for analysis and troubleshooting. Alarms ensure that any performance degradation performance is picked up before impact.
The 5G roaming main KPIs: 
  • a_DCNR_restricted: Indicates if dual connectivity with New Radio is restricted, as signaled by the network in the "EPS network feature support" IE upon EPS-attach. It is only applicable for NR_Uu mobiles in 5G NSA mode.  
  • a_5G_NSA_availability: Indicates if 5G NSA coverage has been detected or not, either because 5G NSA radio bearers have been assigned or it indicates at least E-UTRAN - New Radio Dual Connectivity (ENDC).
  • a_NetworkType: 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G_ltecatm1, 4G_ltecatnb1, 5G_nsa or 5G [NetworkType, RadioAccessTechnology, ENDC_used].

Automated E2E Active Testing with SITE and GlobalRoamer®

SITE supports all technologies from 2G, 3G, and LTE to IoT and 5G. It offers comprehensive automated end-to-end domestic service assurance via Radio Access or Core Network.
