System Administrator


As a System Administrator you will be managing our Linux-based private cloud (VMware vSphere) and public cloud environments. This includes the deployment of new system components and monitoring as well as troubleshooting of deployments. You will be also responsible for improving network security (least privilege principle) and the management of firewalls (VPN, policies, network segmentation). Further, you will carry out software updates and upgrades. The day-to-day-tasks should be automated by developing scripts or by using other tools like Ansible. You will document the results of the solutions.

Location: Nuremberg (Germany), fulltime


YOU must HAVE:
• A Degree in computer science or similar through work experience
• Ability to understand problems and architect solutions
• Profound knowledge of Networking (VPN, firewall, routing)
• Very good knowledge of Linux (command line)
• Deep understanding of cloud computing environments and virtualization technologies (esp. VMware)
• Good TCP/IP knowledge (VPN, firewall, routing)
• Expertise with shell programming and script languages
• Knowledge on various database environments (esp. MySQL and PostgreSQL)
• Very good English skills which you can use every day in a multi-cultural environment
